Though there are rumors that Floyd Mayweather Jr. will be facing Robert Guerrero on May 4th, there has not been a official announcement as of yet. Mayweather went to Twitter and Facebook last week and proclaimed that nothing is set in stone and that it was a rumor.
That has not stopped fans from speculating how a Mayweather vs. Guerrero match-up would unwind with ardent supporters of both fighters claiming their man would win. Jeff Mayweather, the uncle of Floyd Mayweather Jr. has a very strong opinion on the potential clash. He feels his little nephew would knockout Robert Guerrero, “Floyd is too smart for either one of them (Guerrero and Alvarez). With Guerrero’s style of being agressive he might have a chance to get knocked out because Floyd will run him into something.”
The elder Mayweather also discusses Guerrero’s style and says his win last November over Andre Berto was a “ugly” fight in his opinion. See the full interview below!
